LOTRIČ Company d.o.o. is a family company that operates on the field of metrology. The main activity is presenting an overview of measuring and laboratory equipment. As an entrepreneur, the current owner of Marko Lotrič started with the workshop in 1991. Then the conditions for work in the field of metrology were not in favor of the private sphere, but the area was fully regulated by the State. In the following years, the company strives to progress and, together with the arrangement changed the image of metrology in Slovenia. So in 1999, among the first he receives accreditation document in calibration laboratories and in 2001 in the field of inspection bodies. Compliance with the standards management system (ISO 17025 and ISO 17020) has a company in the coming years helped in continuous improvement. This did not happen only in the technical field but also in the field of marketing, external company image, publicity materials and even in many other things. In 2001, it has as the first private company in Slovenia obtained appointment by the Ministry or the Office for Metrology. The appointment meant that the company could now only engage legal verification criteria in designated areas. Until then, the administrative verification procedures were implemented by controllers of the Office for Metrology. Fields of accreditation have been since year 2002 expanding so that today the company covers a large range of physical quantities, thermodynamic quantities, and quantities of chemical and electrical quantities.

 

Beside the calibration laboratory and inspection body, the company also operates in other areas related to metrology. Thus, in 2009 obtained a decision of the Authority for the periodic inspection of equipment under pressure. Their customer’s offers service laboratory, pharmacy and measuring equipment, as well as in selected areas a wide variety of criteria, and other laboratory equipment. 

The company under good metrological practice unites various educations within the College operating since 2004.

In year 2010 followed the entry of the company in the register of companies in the SRA, where a team of young researchers has been in operation for years. Research and development are primarily focused on new areas and software. The laboratory has developed its own software to manage the entire process.

 

Its headquarters are in Selška valley in Selce. In 2003 built business building, floor area 360m 2 has three floors. Between the rooms there are three air-conditioned laboratories, which constantly maintain temperature at 20 ° C and 21 ° C. Authorized variation space is ± 0.5 ° C or ± 0.2 ° C in the work area. Entrance to the main laboratory, is over the third laboratory where the temperature is maintained at 20 ° C ± 0.7 ° C. For the purposes of the other reviews the company has two laboratories, where conditions are less stringent, namely 20 ° C or 23 ° C ± 5 ° C. 

Laboratory for acoustic measurements, which is part of the management system LOTRIČ d.o.o, is a part of IMS Company d.o.o. 

 

The company has in the quality management system, organizational units. These represent other companies with similar interests, but with marginal volume of work that accreditation would be economically viable. Železniki Scales, weighing systems Kantar, Promer, Precision mechanics Franc Markič, IMS industrial measuring systems, and the Croatian representatives Tehničar-Servag and Hadron have their own staff that carries out procedures in accordance with the management system LOTRIČ. 

 

The company is leaded by a Director supported by a five member college. Beside the director the college consists of the Deputy Director and heads of individual teams within the company. Team precision and pavers are technically oriented, while the team caring for calculators is concerned for marketing department. The College meets at least once a month, once a year in a review by the management which reviews the whole business. The company has its own development and research department, and department of information communication technology, which makes software used in reviews. The company benefits other company for the purpose of accounting services and business that occupies with design.
