What is a prepacked product
- A combination of a product and a package of your choice,
- the product is put in the package in absence of the customer, the quantity has a predetermined value which cannot be altered without damaging or opening the package.
Basic requirements for PP
- The average actual content of PP is not smaller than the nominal quantity,
- only a small percentage (2,5 %) of PP can exceed the negative deviation or T1 limit for hybrid products,
- no PP, marked with “e” can exceed twice the value of the allowed deviation (2TNE) or the T2 limit.
Provisions of the PP quantities rules
- PP must be marked with mass or volume units,
- the range of PP packing is from 5 g or 5 ml up to and including 10 kg or 10 l,
- PP is packed in unified nominal quantities, which means that the mass or volume of the same range of products is predetermined and the value of the content of individual products does not need to be marked.
