Presentation of automation in response to sustainable strategies
At the business forum “Advanced materials for the green future”, which takes place today between 11 a. m. and 1 p. m. under the auspices of SPIRIT Slovenia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, we present our own solution for quality control automation – TRAMES.
“When we think about the future, we think about the future of our factories. It is important that the latter become more sustainable and that production processes are organised in a way that respects all our resources – raw materials, energy and, above all, people. Each fault on the production line creates unnecessary waste – both in the form of raw materials, energy consumed and the carbon footprint generated. If we want to look forward and focus on sustainable factories, a ‘zero defects’ strategy is extremely important. It represents the highest possible quality control throughout the entire production process,” said Marko Lotrič, General Manager, in his introductory speech.
TRAMES systems are the solution to the challenge of quality control automation. They are unique measuring systems specifically tailored to the needs of our customers, as the market rarely offers generic solutions suitable for specific production challenges. Hisense Gorenje, Knauf Insulation, Megras and Impol are just a few of our satisfied customers.
For a clearer demonstration of how the TRAMES systems work, a model made of Lego bricks is on display for visitors of the Slovenia pavilion.
“When I was young, I loved playing with Lego. Block-building is still my hobby. That is why we at LOTRIČ Metrology have decided to create the Lego TRAMES especially for today’s event as a metaphor for an innovative and creative way of thinking. It is a symbol of modularity and unlimited possibilities for development,” explained Nejc Demšar, Head of Development at the Lotrič Metrology Group, to the participants of the business forum.
“Lego TRAMES is not just a model. Despite the fact that it consists of Lego bricks, it performs measurements of the suitability of nails. “These are 19th century wrought nails from Železniki, a town in which the development department of the LOTRIČ Metrology Group is now located. Iron and mining industry are the foundation for the development of a modern, high-tech industry that we are witnessing in the region today – with the same values that drove the old miners in the past,” they added.
