Calibration is required in the process of controlling our equipment if we are to ensure the traceability of measurements.

With the help of etalon weights we verify the accuracy of our indication, eccentricity and repetability.

WE PERFORM

Calibration of volumetric devices in accordance with standard SIST EN ISO 8655 and includes:

  • cleaning of entire volumetric devices – including interior,
  • maintenance of volumetric device – lubrication, seal and filter replacement,
  • adjustment of volumetric device,
  • calibration of:
    • single-channel pipettes, dispensers and burettes with prevention of medium evaporation,
    • multi-channel pipettes with inspection on the most modern measuring equipment of individual channel with simultaneous discharge of all channels,
  • intermediate inspection of volumetric devices,
  • calibration of laboratory glassware and plastic in accordance with standard ISO 4787,
  • calibration of volume containers with gravimetric method,
  • calibration of flow-through dosing systems with gravimetric method.

WHY PERFORM CALIBRATION

  • Use of different media has an adverse effect on vital parts and consequentially on instrument accuracy,
  • accuracy of devices is affected by changes in temperature, humidity and operator’s work,
  • accuracy of devices is not stable time-wise,
  • with use of different media and cleaning, corrosion of material occurs,
  • drying at higher temperatures affects the volume,
  • each autoclave process affects the accuracy of devices,
  • we verify accuracy between set and actual volume,
  • we verify reproducibility of the device.

Certificate, which you are provided with after each calibration, ensure measuring traceability of measuring devices with establishment and maintenance of quality systems (ISO certification), laboratory accreditation and is in accordance with requirements GMP, GLP and GCP.

CALIBRATION AND INTERMEDIATE INSPECTION PERIOD

It is determined on the basis of:

  • Frequency of use.
  • Number of users.
  • Number of media.
  • According to required accuracy.
  • ILAC-G24 / OIML D 10 or SIST ISO 10012,
  • Manufacturers and repair shops of volumetric devices recommend a calibration deadline from 3 to 12 months.
  • Intermediate inspections by the user should be performed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
  • Intermediate inspections by an external organization should be performed during calibration period.
